We have become very popular since we were established in 2004, because all of our technicians are trained, uniformed and insured so that our customers trust us to work on their PC’s in their own homes without fuss and at a fair price.

Almost every household now owns at least one computer and uses it for an increasing number of tasks. Computers now form an integral part of family life. This also means that an increasing number of inexperienced and older people need support with their computer use and installations. Computers are no longer the exclusive domain of computer nerds or serial gamers that know how to fix them themselves!
The Market at Work
You don’t need us to tell you that the world of business relies more and more upon the use of computing power! However, many small businesses don’t have the budget for their own IT person or even an IT support contract. In our experience these businesses simply want emergency help as and when they need it, which is why our ‘pay-as-you-go’ approach is so attractive to them.
HOW DOES THE FRANCHISE WORK?

We train you to operate your own PC PAL business in your city or town in exactly the same successful way that we do. You don’t need any experience, equipment or even a vehicle to start, we provide you with everything you need, so you can start trading within 4 weeks of your signing up!
I LIKE COMPUTERS, AM I RIGHT FOR YOUR BUSINESS?
We suit both computer enthusiasts / technicians and ambitious entrepreneurs with no experience in computers and technology. We are looking for:
- Computer enthusiasts that are looking to turn their hobby into a profitable business and a good income.
- Existing computer technicians that are fed up with working for somebody else and want to earn real money for themselves. (And, if you are already Microsoft and A+ qualified, we will even reduce your joining fee!)
- Managers that would like to build their own business in the highly lucrative home computing sector – even if they have no experience of computers themselves.
WHAT TYPES OF FRANCHISES DO YOU OFFER?
We understand that people want different things from a business, so we offer two types of the franchise:
Option 1: Hub Management Franchisee (Several Vehicles)
- Suits those that want to build a bigger business and manage a larger territory with 3 or 4 mobile technicians and more, for the highest potential income.
- You will serve a large territory with a population of 700,000 or more.
- You may also help with (and profit from) the advertising and enquiry handling of mobile technicians near your territory.
Option 2: Mobile Technician Franchisee (One vehicle)
- Suits those that want to work for themselves, by themselves for a potentially high annual personal income.
- You will serve an exclusive territory with a population of around 180,000.
- You will operate from a home office and will advertise to and serve your own customers yourself.
HOW MUCH MONEY CAN I MAKE?
A Hub Management Franchisee will target around £70,000 turnover in their first year and up to £200,000 in their second if they start with 2 technicians in their first year and operate 4 technicians by the end of their second.
A Mobile Technician Franchisee operating by themselves would target around £30,000 turnover in their first year and around £45,000 in their second.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
Our turnkey package includes everything you need to start trading and costs around £19,499 + VAT for a Mobile Engineer or from £41,000 + VAT for a Hub Manager. If you are already qualified to our standards these figures can be reduced accordingly.
Our franchise license fees, included in the turnkey package figures given above, are based on a study of the potential of your city or town, when we review your application – but will be around £3,799 for a Mobile Engineer and around £15,000 for a Hub Management Franchisee.
The turnkey package for a Mobile Engineer includes:
- Microsoft MCDST Certification, CompTIA A+ Hardware and PC PAL Service training
- A vehicle with full PC PAL livery (lease) and uniforms
- Hi-spec Mobile Computer and diagnostic software
- All the quality tools, parts and diagnostic equipment you need
- Customer, job and financial management systems
- Access to the PC PAL Intranet and online resouces
- Company set up and accountancy package
- Launch advertising, service stickers, 20,000 leaflets (and their distribution) and Newsletters
- Business stationery and manuals
- Your own local PC PAL website
The turnkey package for a Hub Manager will depend upon how many engineers you start out with but will include the above for each engineer, as well as all the training you need to manage your team.
Management Service Fees are charged at 10% of turnover and there is also a 2% advertising levy.
Because of our relationships with the banks, we can help you raise finance for up to 75% of the cost of joining and setting up your franchise, so you may only need personal funds from only £6,000 to get into this business.
