Despite Mr Savage's efforts my computer could not be repaired; nevertheless, he tried for quite a long time and was extremely helpful at the end in getting me up and running with a mac laptop. Throuhgout his manner and courtesy were mst congenial and his responses to my questions were informative and supportive. Pleased able to arrange visit to suit after spending hours trying to get hold of BT. John listened to issues, made suggestions to improve PCM performance, made changes to email & web and checked these all worked. I have an 'antiquated' computer system, but the problem with AVG was fixed efficiently.
Also, have been inundated with e-mails from Pay-pal - spam. He helped me update my account with Pay Pal too. I had been unable to fix these problems myself.

I asked John Savage to come along to see if he could solve our inadequate Wi-Fi system caused by our thick cottage walls. Having spoken with other "experts" I was not sure if he would be able to help. I need not have worried, for a very modest cost he was able to provide a more than satisfactory system which we are delighted with and it did not take very long to impliment either.

John was the only computer services engineer who was at work to take my call on the Sunday. We spoke late morning and he was with me at 4-00pm. His diagnosis was the easy bit. There was a lot of clutter, ancillary programmes and unavailable passwords complicating the restoration of the operating system, but I was able to work again in the Sunday evening

John Savage was very professional and covered the issues I raised. I would have liked a bit more time but was worried about the fee. He was with me about an hour and I said I would order the inks for the printer. Subsequently I found this difficult as the existing inks were not genuine Canon inks and had different Codes. I still have to work this out and will let John know if this becomes a problem.

John wastes no time in responding to a call. He works efficiently and concentrates on the computers. When he can he talks and explains what is happening eg when he is waiting for updates to run. He doesn't waste time. I have looked at other feedbacks and I wouldn't disagree with any of the numerous positive ones. I didn't see any negative comments

As an inexperienced user I was very impressed with the way the Engineer made it easy for me to follow what he was doing, his help and patient manner was very much appreciated.

The problem I sought help with was dealt with quickly and he went on to resolve other minor matters, and I found him a most acceptable person to come into my home.

Should I require any further assistance I would not hesitate to contact PC PAL or recommend them to others.

My computer was completely wrecked and I could do nothing with it. I have come to depend on it for several things and I rang Mr Savage late on a Friday afternoon and he came as promised at 11-30 on the following Monday morning and worked on it for a good hour; now it is quite back to normal and, what's more, it is much easier and quicker to use than before the trouble started. I am a dunce with these things but Mr Savage patiently showed me how to operate the system and I am most grateful to him.

When my ageing dinosaur computer decided to give up I thought that would be it. However, I decided to give PC Pal a call and within 3 hours John called at my home. Originally,John helped me to choose a PC based on, being a retiree,what I actually needed which was most helpful. He has also attended on several occasions when I've needed help and sorted me out.
He is always very customer focused and easy to deal with.

I was panicking but he quickly got the relevant information from me and promised to be at my home address within 2 hours. He was early, smart, professional and realistic but reassuring.

I have had my system for nearly 4 years and it seemed to be getting very tired lately. Having trouble with my router for many weeks, continual cockups from my foreign broadband "helpline", my bootup stopped and laptop froze. I contacted John Savage and explained the problem I had with my laptop (Crashed). John gave me a complete breakdown of the recovery programme and the costs involved. We agreed a time for John to pick up and return the laptop. On returning the laptop John explained what he had done to restore the lost programmes etc and what I needed to do to get my information restored. Computer problems are a nightmare & you want an IT Engineer to fix it for you especially when you are not very computer literate. John did, so very grateful - its lots of cash by way of labour costs but very worthwhile value for money - I said 'it was good to see him again (we had a more severe virus problem last year) but would hope not to see him too often & certainly not for a while'. Very pleased with his help & assistance.

This is the second time I have used PC Pal's services. The previous time John Savage saved me the cost of a new PC having very cleverly bypassed a mother board problem. On this occasion it was a really annoying and potentially harmful trojan virus called "searchqu" that had hijacked my internet explorer browser and caused it to run excessively slowly, blocked access to certain sites and other annoying things. Once again John with his expert knowledge had the problem cleared in a very short time and explorer is back to normal again. I have unreservedly recommended John to many of my customers and friends and will continue to do so. Thanks again John - much appreciated :-)

I was very pleased with engineer's promt timing. Unfortunately the problem we had we still have, having said that I think it is very difficult to correct. The engineer did do other things for me and certainly tried various options but as I said we still have initial problem. I did tell him if the problem wasn't resolved we would purchase a new computor rather than spend anymore trying to sort out problem.

He was really nice and friendly and explained things very well with no confusing jargon or corporate bias. All the problems were sorted out (including some minor irritations that I thought I might as well as about too) very effectively. Called you on a Monday, you offered to come that day, but I was unavailable that day, but John Savage came out promptly as arranged. He set to work and soon found out what was wrong with my machine and fixed it, and then tidied up a few other things that were required, to make it run more smoothly.
Good work John, machine running the best it's done for ages. I will know who to call in the future, if I have any more computer problems.

The engineer was both promp and helpful, however the outcome was disapionting as I was not sure just how much a repair would have actualy cost in any detail.I have since purchased a new computor main box and have been back on line.More info re costs would be helpful as I had a box made up at far less the cost of purchasing a new model from the main retailers. I also have a 12 months parts and labour garrentee.I would use PC PAL again if and when necessary.

I was recommended to you by a work colleague and have unfortunately (no fault of yours), had to call you out 3 times probably during the last year. The engineer who always comes to me (not sure of his name) is punctual, friendly and has always been excellent at solving my problems. I would have no hesitation in recommending him and it is nice to feel confident that if I do get problems, I can call him and get it sorted. I also think your rates are very reasonable. I was quoted £89.99 by BT when I initially rang about the most recent problem which I thought was theit server fault!
