A returning customer after you sorted a previous problem. A quick call was all it took, the engineer came round the next day. I was very impressed by the swift response to my call - I phoned on Wednesday afternoon and the engineer was here, as promised, first thing on Friday morning.The cause of my problem was explained in a way that I could understand, as was the proposed solution of transferring my data from the defunct machine to my Notebook PC.
The process itself was quite lengthy so the fee charged was extremely reasonable.

Having done a great job replacing the screen on our laptop, Peter at PC PAL was the first person I thought to call when I experienced problems with the hard drive on our desktop computer. His response time was excellent and within a couple of hours he had visited, identified the problem and taken the desktop away. Bruce responded to my email very quickly and despite being late on a Friday made a point of visiting in the evening at a time when I arrived home from work. I made him aware of what I thought was the problem beforehand (over heating CPU) and he came prepared to troubleshoot that issue which suggests he took on board what I had to say and valued my input. He resolved this issue efficiently and was very clear in describing his actions step by step so his approach and methodology were very transparent. In the end the problem was fixed and continues to be, this was less than 24 hrs after it occurred. Very impressed with the qaulity of response and service and I would not hesitate to use again.

I was completely foxed by my computer not letting me log in to my emails, print and the c drive over loaded. I called Gary for advice and help. He was most help full and understanding and a temporary solution was found. The issues did not resolve so I called Gary again and he was able to come on the same day to check out the problems.

Basically, i run a small building company, my computer is very important in the running of my company, i had been having a few issues with the computer timing out and various other issues with back up programs. Richard came out, gave him a brief description of problems and away he went, within an hour, he had basically fixed it!! He went right into the rubbings of the computer, altered settings that i wouldn't of known existed. Next thing it's running as good as new, I would definitely recommend Richard to anyone, very professional!

Engineer arrived at time agreed. He was very polite and very neatly dressed in corporate uniform. Listened attentively to problems experienced. I then left him to resolve problems. When he'd finished he explained exactly the work he had done and told me what he thought the root cause of the problems had been, i.e. the Explorer browser. He installed Google Chrome and I am trusting this will solve my problems. I know that if problems persist I can recall him. I have used PCPAL once before and am very satisfied with this second experience.

This visit followed many attempts to sort out an internet 'proxy error' which was probably started by malware of some sort. The technician (Pete) finally ran the problem to earth after more than a hour of diagnostic testing and all is now well. He also solved a number of other operator difficulties while running the diagnostic programmes. It was a master class in patience and determination!

A dodgy router required Bruce to lend me his at his visit yesterday, and I subsequently found that my printer wasn't able to function. So, Bruce spent an hour on the phone with me the following morning (today) and between us we got it functioning again. His knowledge of systems, hardware and soft ware is encyclopedic, whereas mine is rudimentary. Knowing Bruce is on the end of a phone is very reassuring to a computer pleb like me!
